Keep an Eye on your Heart’s Health

16/03/2010

Everybody knows that keeping your heart healthy is important, but not many people know specifically how or why. An increased heart rate helps your body optimise fat burning whilst you’re working out, and the less fat you carry; the less your heart has to work overtime. The ideal place you want your heart rate, during a workout, is between 60% and 85% of its maximum.

Heart Rate Monitors & Transmitter Belts

The system consists of Heart Rate Monitors that electronically detect your heart’s signals using a transmitter belt. This information is then instantly transferred to the Heart Rate Monitor wirelessly, which is often worn on the wrist. This is more effective than using your finger and wrist or neck, as the transmitter belt measure’s your heart rate with millisecond-level accuracy.

Polar Heart Rate Monitors

Here at Connection Fitness, we offer a range of Heart Rate Monitors to help you manage your workout, whatever your goal or activity. Many of these Monitors do more than just tell you your heart rate.
