Steppers & Climbers

Climber

Steppers and climbers are excellent fitness machines for light toning and cardio workouts. They focus on your glutes, thighs, hamstrings and calf muscles. Steppers are becoming an increasingly popular piece of home fitness equipment. They are effective, affordable and use up little space. Many steppers come with upper body resistance cords meaning you can tone your upper body as well as your lower body.

Choosing a Stepper or Climber

Steppers and climbers are fantastic gym machines for building lower body strength and toning your leg muscles. In addition to this they provide a great cardio session that works your heart and lungs and burns calories quickly. We stock two main ranges:

Twist & Thigh Steppers

These mini steppers provide an economical fitness solution that is great if you're on a right budget and looking for an exercise machine that doesn't take up a lot of room.

Climbers

Climbers are usually more expensive than home steppers but these sophisticated machines provide a thorough low impact workout and are comfortable to use for long periods because you can hold the bars while you exercise. Climbers are of a high quality and built to last longer than the average stepper. However, they are also much bigger and the added features and durability comes at an extra cost. A climbing machine is certainly something to consider if you are looking for a long-term investment that will give you a great return in terms of health and fitness.

Storage

Twist and thigh steppers are usually some of the smallest but most effective pieces of fitness equipment on the market. The size and mobility of a stepper is an excellent feature, especially if space is a concern. Steppers don't take up very much room and can be easily tucked away after a training session. Climbers are larger than steppers but still a lot easier to store and move than a large treadmill.

Warranty

If you're making an investment in a climber you want to know that if anything goes wrong it will not cost you extra money further down the line. A warranty ensures that support is always at hand. We provide all the warranty details in the product descriptions. Warranties on climbers are usually longer than steppers because they are larger, stronger and more like the type of stair climbing machine you would fine in a commercial gym. We are not saying the other smaller steppers aren't reliable; they are, just not as reliable as the larger climber machines which usually come with a warranty longer than a year.

Who are they Suitable for?

Due to their low impact and soft motion they are suitable for most people because they don't put too much strain on your joints. However, those who are overweight, over 50, or have not exercised for some time are recommended to consult their GP before undertaking exercise.

Stepper

Overview

Steppers and climbers are very popular because you can tone the target areas on your legs, bum, hips and thighs whilst burning calories and losing weight at the same time. Many of our small steppers also come with upper body resistance cords, such as the Mini Side Stepper from Reebok. This Reebok Stepper with resistance bands means you can have an all over cardio and toning session from a very economic and space saving fitness machine. However, if you are looking to make a long term investment you might want to consider our range of climbers which are usually sturdier, stronger and come with a wide range of features and programs.
