Beginner Home Gym Equipment
When you're starting out a new fitness regime and you want to train at home, it can sometimes be a daunting task finding the right gym equipment to suit your requirements. There are dozens of different products designed for the home gym, which in turn have numerous variations and specifications. This adds further complications to an already difficult decision process.
Getting Started
Firstly you have to decide what kind of result you are ultimately looking for. If you are looking to work on fitness and weight loss then you will probably require cardiovascular equipment. This can be anything from a rowing machine through to a treadmill, anything that requires. However if you want a simpler piece of gym apparatus, there are also specially designed steps, like the Reebok Steppers, which will help tone your legs and thighs whilst also improving stamina. To really maximise this workout you may also wish to use light dumbbells, which when used in conjunction with the step work both the upper and lower parts of the body.
If you are looking to build and tone muscles then you will require some weight training equipment. When beginning it is best to build up slowly, so it may be best start off with some adjustable dumbbells, like Gold's Gym Dumbbells. By purchasing dumbbells with adjustable weights you can gradually build muscle over time by increasing the weight as you progress. Attempting to lift excess weight from the outset is likely to do more damage than good, so build up the weight and gradually increase repetitions for the most productive workout routine.
Home Multi-Ggyms
If you are looking for a variety of exercises for muscles throughout the body, beginners may want to have a look at smaller multi-gyms, Weider Multi Gyms are available in a broad selection of sizes. A multi-gym contains a whole range of gym exercises in one compact structure. With so many exercises to do you can achieve a very good workout for both the upper and lower body, and as with the dumbbells most multi-gyms allow you to adjust the weight/resistance, which allows you to gradually increase weights as you develop.
Other Exercises
There are a number of low impact exercises you can do either in conjunction with your own fitness programme or as your main daily routine. To help you get the most out of your workout you may require a gym ball. These large inflated balls, built from a special anti-burst PVC material are ideal for doing quick exercises comfortably and safely. The gym ball is ideal for toning muscles, particularly in the stomach and general upper-body area. Gym balls that we stock come with a range of suggested exercises either in the form of a booklet or an instruction DVD, which should help you get you on your way.
