York USA’s founder, Bob Hoffman, coached the USA’s Olympic Weightlifting team for almost 20 years and was designated the “Father of World Weightlifting by the Olympic Weightlifting Federation” for his part in the history and development of Weightlifting as a sport. He provided advice on youth fitness to Presidents Eisenhower, Nixon and Kennedy. High profile teams in the USA such as the LA Lakers, Washington Redskins and Lions and UK premier league rugby teams such as Northampton Saints, Saracens, Harlequins and Borders have gyms comprising York USA equipment.
